Boracay Yoga is a consortium of teachers who live and practice yoga on Boracay Island, Philippines.  We support a healthy lifestyle through the practice and transformative power of yoga.  By regular practice of Yoga, we become more physically fit.  Later on, we find ourselves able to manifest more peace, love, and happiness . This creates a ripple affect that benefits every one around us with that special energy.

Boracay Yoga welcomes each visitor and yoga student of every level to partake in our daily yoga classes and special yoga workshops and new and full moon celebrations.  Let Yoga be your sanctuary from your daily responsibilities and social engagements…let a Yoga class stretch your body, tuning inward to your mind and soul.

We honor and welcome all styles of asana classes.  We love meditation, pranayama & kirtan chanting as integral parts of yoga wholeness, and include these into our yearly ashtanga vinyasa yoga teacher trainings.  We invite guest yoga masters in the world who would be interested in conducting workshops on our little paradise island.

We can be contacted on our boracay yoga facebook page.  When you’re on the island, drop by our location at Patio Pacific Resort, contact no. +6336 288-3888, or Feel free to contact Ms. Mo-ching Yip,  mobile +639176249942.

Kaz's farewell, MayTT, 2011

"Though y'all keep on leaving the island, I do not feel your departures in my heart. Instead, I am filled with each of your presence, your good humor, your hard work, your love and your light. Though many of you are so suddenly absent, I am comforted that the world is small and the universe is gracious. And that our paths will cross many times over before this journey is through. To new friends, to new yoga teachers spreading the love in your part of the Philippines and the world! Thank you, I love you!"

Odanadi Yoga Stops Traffick in Boracay

March 12, 2011 marked a very special day for island yoga practitioners as people gathered to dedicate 108 Sun Salutations for the benefit of Odanadi Seva Trust, an organization based in Mysore, India that creates awareness and rehabilitates the victims of human trafficking in India.

Inspired by her first trip to Mysore to study with Sharath Rangaswamy, BY Teacher Kaz Castillo called upon the many teachers that make up our island yoga community to join the global event on March 12. With the collaboration of Clayton Horton, the island's most recent yoga transplant, they decided that 108 Sun Salutations led by 8 different teachers from varied disciplines, kirtan and satsang was not only a fitting fundraiser for the cause but a beautiful way of getting the yoga community involved in one unified cause.

Boracay Yoga teachers were in full force: Mo-ching Yip, Markus Duss, Margaux Palau and Kaz Castillo took part. Greenpath's Clayton Horton started things off and also capped things with a soulful kirtan. True Yoga's Nicole Serrano and Stacey Memije lead Anusara and Ashtanga sun salutations respectively.

The event generated a packed house (at Mandala Spa). Altogether, the generous donations came to P10,800--a truly auspicious number after 108 Sun Sals! At the end, moment of silence was observed for the victims of the Japanese quake and tsunami the night before. People left happy and grateful, full of the energy created by everyone's beautiful intentions.
